1 star Heats every room in the house, even those that are unoccupied.

5 star Recycles laundry and washing up water.
4 star Has installed a water meter.
3 star Has installed AAA-rated shower heads.
2 star Has a five-minute shower instead of a bath.
1 star Has two baths a day.

5 star Always uses local recycling schemes for plastic, glass, metal, paper, cloth etc.
4 star Composts garden and kitchen waste.
3 star Takes their own reusable bags to the shops.
2 star Uses both sides of the paper, at home and at work.
1 star Throws everything in the bin because it’s less bother.

5 stars? A little confidence is a good thing, but everyone needs something to aim for. Why not start with 4 stars?
